HKC is one of the 88 WTO members who jointly issued a ministerial statement during the Eleventh Ministerial Conference in 2017 on promoting the participation of MSMEs in international trade. Pursuant to that statement, an Informal Working Group on MSMEs was created to organise discussions on MSMEs, with the objective of identifying obstacles for MSMEs in foreign trade operations and finding solutions. HKC is a member of the Coordinating Committee leading the Working Group, and participates actively in the discussions.
